2. Promotions for SBI Clerk to Officer Cadre To Trainee officer

After passing the written test, a candidate who has been working as a clerk for three years can become a trainee officer. For the first two years of their assignment as Trainee Officers, such clerks are kept on probation. The trainee officer will either be hired into the Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II) cadre or demoted back to the clerical cadre depending on performance after the probationary term.

3. Directly to JMGS-I

A clerk can become a Junior Manager Grade Scale (JMGS-I) officer after completing a written test and interview and six years of service through a fast track promotion route, or after twelve years of service under a standard promotion channel. Age restrictions apply to this offer.
